Training

So I just spent the past week in another city doing training to one day be more than "just a locksmith". One of the reasons I became a locksmith in the first place is that I was not good at school.... This past week was an exercise in trying to pay attention. I went into a bunch of classes that were waaaay over my head and with people who had been doing this substantially longer than me. That being said I have a good feeling I may have actually passed.

Despite invites to get drunk and go whoring most nights I went back to my hotel room like a good boy and studied....How boring...yet strangely fulfilling. I did have fun one night when after splashing back a half dozen pints I decided that rather than send out some E-mails I would regret to parties that likely know who they are I would go swimming in the waterpark at my hotel. FUN! I went in the hot tubs, sauna, swam laps in the pool and as it was 8:30 at night I had the entire place to myself - not even a lifeguard around (sadly no bikini vixens either) but overall it kept me from making any bigger messes of my life.

I spent a whole 5 days doing classes from 7am to 6 pm.... and now find myself craving more of this "schoolin" I even caught myself at work today surfing the faculty of extension site for classes in my other life's passion - photography. I may go and take another class in the new year depending on my work schedule.

The next set of classes I can attend for work will likely be in Ontario, but luckily (?) for you the reader they say nothing to the tune of "what happens in Ontario stays in Ontario" I am sure that only applies for Vegas....and Calgary.

What a day

So the other day this customer of mine comes into buy a part for one of her key machines as I have access to parts and all. She has bought cutting wheels from me before but has very little grasp of the english language, so when she says" I need wheel like last time" I assume she means like the last 10 times she bought one....Turns out she has bought a new and different machine since then - so when she gets the wheel back to her shop, and despite the fact it looks nothing like the wheel she claims she "wanted" she uses it for 3 days. She then comes in and freeeaks out demanding we overnight one in for her. So we do - then hold it hostage until she pays the $150 air freight that she assumed we would pay because she only speaks English when it is convenient.... What a day.

First Post

I have never blogged before - first time for everything I guess.... What to write about? I suppose hopes, crushed dreams, the usual.
